About AccuCare Rehabilitation Center - Arlington Heights
Jim Carlsen PT, DPT is the owner and director of AccuCare and a licensed Physical Therapist. He graduated in 1998 from physical therapy school and in 2005 with his doctorate from The Chicago Medical School. He received his PT education in the Netherlands, enrolled in an American program. After graduation from physical therapy school he worked as a staff therapist for a local group of orthopedic doctors. His experience there was invaluable, providing physical therapy for a wide range of orthopedic conditions as well as sports injuries. He is also exposed to a variety of types of surgeries giving him valuable insight into some of the procedures you may have gone through.
AccuCare Rehabilitation Center has a highly trained staff of therapists providing physical therapy for orthopedic/sports physical therapy; work related injuries, pre/post-op therapy as well as the Anodyne treatment for neuropathy.
AccuCare's licensed physical therapists are trained and certified to perform the ErgoScience Physical Work Performance Evaluation (PWPE). The PWPE is a highly structured test designed to report the level of work a patient is able to perform at that given time. The PWPE can test for maximum objective strength without risk of further injury. This enables the therapist to objectively assess a patient's current level of function.
The PWPE is a one day 4 hour test with the finding reported to the patient's doctor.
